Overview
Electrical Day Engineer – Location: Workington. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day engineering operations at the Cumbria site, working as part of a proactive maintenance team focused on minimising downtime and enhancing overall productivity. While many tasks will be team-based, there will also be occasions where independent work is required.
Responsibilities
* Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to ensure OEE is maximised
* Working on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
* Assisting shift engineers on reactive maintenance
* Completing planned maintenance tasks designated by Engineering Team Leader
* Prioritising workload
* Working in a positive manner and being open to new tasks and challenges
* Fully utilise stock control systems including input, management and improvement activities
* Training and development of co-workers as required (e.g., apprentices and other maintenance department staff)
* Ability to use CMMS system for maintenance purposes

* Experience of Operational Engineering within a Manufacturing environment
* Computer literate
Education and Certifications
* Time served mechanic
* ONC/ HNC in engineering
