Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Milk Education are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Prudhoe who are seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team. This is a full-time position running from after the February half-term until the end of the current academic year.
While this is an unqualified position, applicants must have recent relevant experience working with children. This can include paid or voluntary experience (for example: classroom support, youth work, tutoring, babysitting or similar).
This Unqualified Teaching Assistant role is varied and rewarding, combining:
1. General classroom Teaching Assistant support in KS1
2. Supporting pupils with SEND, both in and out of the classroom
3. Delivering small group interventions to support learning and development
You will work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate:
4. Has relevant experience within the last 2 years working with children (school-based experience strongly preferred)
5. Is confident supporting KS1 pupils
6. Has experience or a strong interest in SEND support and intervention work
7. Is patient, nurturing and proactive
8. Can work well as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff
