Initiating Outbound or Inbound communication with client base in the collections process in order to resolve the customers debt fairly
Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Contact customers via phone to collect overdue payments
2. Work with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve payment issues
3. Use communication skills to build rapport with customers and encourage payment
4. Document all communication with customers in a clear and concise manner
5. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets to earn commission
6. Work independently, while staying in touch with team leader or manager
7. Follow up on payment promises and commitments made by customers
8. Escalate difficult collection cases to the appropriate team leader or manager
9. Maintain compliance with all collection laws and regulations
Job Requirements
10. Grade 12
11. Tertiary qualification would be advantageous
12. At least 1 year of experience in collections or customer service would be advantageous
13. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
14. Ability to work independently and meet collection targets
15. Strong attention to detail and organization skills
16. Ability to handle difficult customers and situations with tact and professionalism
17. Knowledge of collection laws and regulations is an asset
18. Computer literacy essential
19. A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
Working Conditions: The Work from Home Call Centre Collection Agent will work remotely and will be responsible for providing their own workspace. This is a commission-based role. The job may require sitting for long periods and using a headset or phone.
