About the post
This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at London North West University Healthcare. The post holder will deliver a high standard of care to patients undergoing OMFS treatment, assess patient care needs, and implement and evaluate the care programme. The post holder will work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of care.
Main duties
The successful applicant will participate in the diagnosis, management and follow-up of patients. The main role for the right candidate is to run oral surgery consultation clinics and minor operation sessions under local anaesthetic independently. We have a dedicated oral surgery department nurse and outpatient nurses who assist in clinics and minor operations. Further opportunities will be available to progress into operating independently for theatre sessions.

Job responsibilities
This post requires a self-motivated doctor with some OMFS experience to work with trainee doctors and consultants to care for emergency and elective OMFS and Head & Neck patients. A broad knowledge in all aspects of OMFS is beneficial, with weekly timetable adjustable based on experience and service needs. The successful candidate will work as a member of the middle grade team who are medically and dentally qualified doctors supporting services across the network.

Registration and Qualifications
* Full Registration with GDC
* Evidence of ongoing medical education - FDS / MFDS
Experience
* Minimum one year experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (SHO level or equivalent)
* Minimum of 3 years\' relevant post-registration experience at SHO level or above (or equivalent)
