Whilst posts may be based at The James Cook University Hospital site or North Tees University Hospital site you may be expected to work between all sites with a Laboratory service (e.g., also Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, Hartlepool Hospital etc.) on a rotational basis, to meet the needs of the service. To lead and supervise the day to day delivery of a diagnostic service within the Microbiology Department and provide advanced Biomedical science technical support by providing training, advice, technical development, and supervision within all areas of the laboratory. While maintaining an up to date knowledge and competency to practise within all areas of the laboratory working. Knowledge Essential • Advanced knowledge of laboratory techniques and Biomedical science. • Basic working knowledge of Pathology IT systems. • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safety measures.
