We work directly and in solidarity with communities and peoples, supporting them to secure their rights to their traditional lands, territories, and resources, protect their forests and ways of life, and choose their own futures.
The role, consistent with our Theory of Change, involves diverse and decentralized advocacy and communication strategies generated collaboratively with our partners. This approach ensures sensitivity to local social, political, and legal contexts, and aligns with partner priorities.
Communications at FPP facilitate exchanges among partners, Indigenous peoples, policy makers, academics, and the public. Our core principle of self-determination guides us to amplify Indigenous voices without overshadowing them.

FPP collaborates with 52 partners across 18 countries, providing the Senior Officer with broad exposure and specific contextual knowledge. The initial focus will be on restructuring rollout, shifting later to media relations or advocacy communications based on the recruit's profile.
