Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities Review and evaluate concessions and production permits raised by Manufacturing and Quality teams, assessing technical validity and impact on design intent and product performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, inspectors and shop-floor operators to understand root causes and develop appropriate engineering dispositions. Apply strong mechanical design engineering knowledge to determine acceptability of deviations and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. Support resolution of production issues by providing timely engineering guidance and design-based decision making. Utilize SAP and CAD tools (preferably Creo) to review drawings, part configurations, and associated documentation. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent Relevant work experience, of which at least 5 years should be from the aeronautical industry Comprehensive understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications Required Skills Aerospace experience preferred; exposure to heat exchanger or thermal systems will be considered a strong advantage.
