Overview
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join the Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal to be responsible for driving Behaviour and Culture. The successful candidate will be able to lead on the key aspects of the role, work with the Head of School to achieve the academy's aims and objectives, and promote a strong learning culture that translates to positive academic outcomes for all students.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the key aspects of the role as stated in the job description
* Ensure that the federation of Ormiston Academies is always presented positively within and beyond the Academy
* Work alongside the Head of School to ensure the aims and objectives of the academy are achieved
* Promote a strong learning culture in the Academy which translates to positive academic outcomes for all students
* Collaborate with staff and students to provide the best possible learning opportunities and support, ensuring clear outcomes and impacts
* Play a key role in the overall leadership and management of the Academy, upholding the core values of opportunity, scholarship, compassion and aspiration, and ensuring staff support these values
* Join a team where passion meets purpose to change the lives and futures of children and young people
About Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy
Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, near the centre of Birmingham. We are an 11-16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,200 students. The academy has grown in recent years and is now full and oversubscribed in every year group for the seventh consecutive year. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy for the third time in 2023.
The academy has been recognised with a variety of awards, including Investors In People Gold Award, The Quality In Careers Standard Gold Award, The Basic Skills Quality Mark, and the Artsmark Gold Award.
