A fast-growing marine cleantech business is scaling deployment of a propulsion system for commercial vessels. The technology is already operating at sea and the team is now moving into early commercial rollout-working through subcontract manufacturers, delivering shipyard installations, and supporting equipment in service.
This is a hands-on delivery role in a small team: you'll keep multiple workstreams moving, remove blockers quickly, and provide clear visibility of schedule/risk/cost.
What you'll be doing
Build and maintain practical delivery plans from concept through manufacture, installation and operational handover
Coordinate internal engineering plus external subcontract manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers
Drive readiness for shipyard work: documentation, logistics, interface planning, access/yard constraints, method statements (where applicable)
Run action tracking from technical meetings-turn decisions into clear owners, dates and next steps
Manage risk/issue tracking and escalate early; keep leadership updated with simple, accurate reporting
Support continuous improvement of delivery processes/tools as the business scales
What we're looking for
Essential
Experience in project coordination / project engineering / project management in a technical environment
Exposure to at least one of: marine, shipbuilding/ship repair, offshore, heavy engineering, manufacturing/fabrication, industrial installation/commissioning
Comfortable coordinating multiple parties (engineering, suppliers, yards) and keeping pace in a changing environment
Strong written communication and ability to maintain clear plans, actions, and status updatesDesirable
Experience involving shipyards, dockyards, port environments, or vessel operations
Familiarity with manufacturing supply chain (lead times, QA, FAT/SAT, documentation packs)
Any project tools background (MS Project or similar)
Why this role
You'll be close to the product and the outcomes-supporting a technology that is actively being deployed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in shipping. It's a broad role with genuine responsibility across engineering delivery, suppliers and shipyard execution
