RC Fornax, a veteran owned engineering consultancy operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is looking for a Senior/Principal Systems Engineer to support hardware-focused projects within a major defence programme. You’ll deliver systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, from requirements decomposition through to V&V, ensuring technical compliance and high-quality design outputs. Key Responsibilities * Support systems engineering activities including requirements decomposition, design, and verification & validation (V&V). * Contribute across the full systems engineering lifecycle, with focus on hardware engineering and hardware design. * Produce high-quality technical documentation and ensure outputs meet programme standards. * Engage with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support deiign decisions. What We’re Looking For * Strong systems engineering background with focus on requirements, design, and V&V. * Experience supporting submarine platforms or major naval defence programmes * Proven capability in hardware engineering and hardware design. * Defence or regulated industry background essential.
