Exciting Opportunity: SEN Support Assistant (SEMH Focus)

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), to join a welcoming primary school in Wavertree (L15).

This is a long-term position starting in October and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will provide individualised support to a reception pupil who requires both academic and social assistance.

Key Requirements

* Previous experience working with SEN pupils.
* Strong knowledge of effective de-escalation strategies.
* Confidence in supporting a pupil with a personalised education plan tailored to SEMH needs.
* Ability to deliver regular updates and progress reports.

The Role

* Hours: 8:45 am – 3:15 pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
