GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Stanley (WF3). As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils requiring additional learning and behavioural support, helping them achieve academic success, develop confidence, and thrive in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN needs. Implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with class teachers and SENCOs. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Foster positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence. Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable. Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills. Patient, resilient, and adaptable in supporting children with varying needs. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
