To fuel this next stage, we’re looking for a driven, proactive Business Development Manager to unlock new opportunities, strengthen on‑site relationships, and accelerate adoption of our products across the Southern region of the UK. This is a field‑based, highly autonomous role where your impact will be visible, valued, and central to our commercial success. Your Role As Business Development Manager, you will drive territory expansion by actively hunting new end‑user opportunities, deepening customer engagement, managing trials, and accelerating adoption of our safety footwear across the region. Working within our POD structure, you will collaborate closely with the Key Account Manager and Sales Support to ensure opportunities are fast‑moving, well‑aligned, and successfully converted through the correct distributor partners. You will work closely with end users across sites and workshops, engaging directly with key decision makers, identifying needs, and driving prospects toward successful conversion. Key Responsibilities New Business Development Continually hunt for new end-users through targeted outreach, site visits, networking, and industry engagement. Build strong relationships with H&S managers, procurement teams, supervisors, and influencers within target accounts. Convert prospects into active V12 users by demonstrating technical product knowledge and onsite capability. End‑User Growth & Adoption Map end-users with potential for higher V12 penetration and strategically increase adoption and spend. Manage product trials, specifications, and end-user conversion activities. Ensure end-user opportunities are transparently shared and fulfilled through the appropriate distributors. Pipeline Generation & Management Maintain a healthy pipeline at all times, feeding high-quality opportunities through the sales cycle. Ensure CRM is updated with accurate contact information, opportunity stages, next steps, and projected value. Collaboration With the KAM (POD Structure) Work closely with the KAM to ensure activities support distributor relationships. Share insights regularly with the POD to align regional priorities and avoid conflicts. Ensure pull-through opportunities are allocated to the correct distributor to maximise conversion. Support Distributor-Led Sales Assist distributors by visiting end-users to set up trials and support conversion. Provide product training and demonstrations where required. Key KPIs Number of new end-user accounts won Qualified opportunities added to the pipeline Conversion of trials/specifications Pull-through to distributors Revenue and gross margin contribution from new business Activity quality (not just volume) CRM hygiene and forecast accuracy What You Bring We’re looking for someone energetic, commercial, and hungry to win.
