We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an on-site Facilities Manager to join Amey, supporting our Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) contract in Winfrith.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 07.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thu and 07.30am – 12.30pm every Friday.
An Facilities Manager takes responsibility for the safe, compliant and effective day‑to‑day management of the Winfrith estate, acting on behalf of the client and leading a multi‑disciplinary on‑site team in a highly regulated, purpose‑driven environment.
What you will do:
* Take responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of the estate/building on behalf of the client.
* Ensure the site meets all health & safety rules, legal requirements and company policies, identifying risks and implementing safe ways of working.
* Lead and monitor service delivery and contractor performance through audits, spot checks and KPIs.
* Ensure teams understand their role in delivering high‑quality services and meeting targets.
* Provide first‑line people management, including performance management and disciplinary processes.
* Manage both Hard and Soft FM services, including reception, grounds, cleaning and M&E services.
* Maintain environmental standards, supporting sustainability and zero‑carbon initiatives.
* Manage site budgets and additional works, supporting financial performance and value for money.
* Support project opportunities above £25k.
* Undertake radiological and environmental training and be appointed to supervise within the client’s procedures.
What you will bring:
* Proven experience in a Facilities Management role, ideally within a regulated or complex environment (nuclear experience desirable but not essential).
* NEBOSH or IOSH Construction qualifications.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and implementation of policies.
* Good working knowledge of CAFM / EAM systems (e.g., Concept or Maximo).
* Sound knowledge of service delivery and KPIs.
* Demonstrable experience of budgeting and managing costs.
* Experience of first line management.
* Customer relationship management skills.
* Strong people‑management capability with confidence handling performance and employee processes.
Training & Safety Requirements
* Triple Bar training (a short online introductory nuclear course) is required prior to site access and will be completed as part of onboarding.
* A Standard DBS check within the last 6 months is required.
