IT Project Manager

Candidates must live locally (North Essex/South Suffolk) as this role is 5 days onsite.
We're delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business experiencing growth and change. They are seeking an IT Project Manager with extensive experience to join on a 3-month contract (with the possibility of extension).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Deliver an IT improvement programme including:
o Technology upgrades
o ERP Migration to Azure
o Reporting transfer to BI
o Server migrations to Azure, some with vendor involvement
o Implement a new CCTV system (third-party install)
o Facilitate the closure of a third-party datacentre post migrations
o Process improvements to software licensing and asset tracking
o Implement server and EUD patching regime
o Document existing technology estate, including network, services, and processes
o Manage compliance, including recertification to Cyber Essentials Plus upon completion of the IT improvement programme
* Engage effectively with the local IT team, central IT teams, and vendors to deliver outcomes, defining end states and delivery mechanisms for complex service elements.
* Manage project plans, dependencies, and risks, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.
* Manage budgets to ensure good cost control.
* Develop lightweight reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed.
* Manage vendor relationships to meet contract expectations and ensure value for money.
* Collaborate with Group IT to leverage resources, expertise, and technologies, ensuring alignment with governance, architecture, and security standards.
Person Specification/Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience managing multiple changes alongside larger projects.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Proven project delivery, vendor, and contract management skills.
* Experience implementing lightweight project processes aligned with central IT.
* Understanding of cyber security frameworks, e.g., Cyber Essentials Plus.
