Salary: £29,046 to £30,960 per annum. Plus generous benefits including:

About the role
We have an exciting, challenging but rewarding opportunity available! We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to support high-quality design, technology, and engineering education. The role involves organizing safe workshop environments and resources, as well as assisting tutors and students during project and practical activities to enhance learning, achievement, and enjoyment.
The role is varied, including providing technical advice, demonstrating skills, supporting assignments, and developing students' practical competencies. The successful candidate will support Design & Technology and Engineering tutors and students across various vocational engineering and manufacturing programs, including A Level Design Technology and T Level Engineering Manufacturing Design and Development. You will be able to support practical lessons and project-based teaching, helping students develop skills to create prototypes and 3D solutions for engineering problems.
About the Person
Essential skills include excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication/interpersonal skills, along with broad experience in design, engineering, or creative industries. Knowledge of workshop health and safety legislation, workshop organization, and management is a significant advantage. The role requires general workshop skills, competency with materials such as wood, metals, and polymers, and experience with CNC machinery, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and additive manufacturing is beneficial. A relevant Level 2 qualification and industrial or educational experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, or 3D design are critical. Candidates may offer skills for part or all of the 37-hour week.
