We’re working with a well-established transport planning and infrastructure consultancy to recruit a Senior Transport Planner with a strong background in traffic analysis and modelling. Based in Bristol, this role offers the chance to lead technical work on a wide range of development projects and shape transport strategies that make a real impact.

They offer expertise from initial feasibility studies through to planning agreements, travel plans, and detailed highway design. 🛠 Role Responsibilities

Lead transport assessments, traffic impact studies, and feasibility reports
*
Manage and deliver traffic modelling using tools such as Junctions, LinSig, TRANSYT, and VISSIM
*
Analyse traffic data and interpret results to inform planning strategies
*
Prepare high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders
*
Liaise with local authorities and multidisciplinary teams
*
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development
🎯 Candidate Profile
*
5+ years of experience in transport planning, with a focus on traffic analysis
*
Proficiency in modelling software (e.g., Junctions, LinSig, TRANSYT, VISSIM, TRICS, TEMPro)
*
Strong understanding of UK transport policy and planning frameworks
*
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
*
A proactive, collaborative approach with leadership potential
