Project Overview
The University of Manchester maintains the largest nuclear research and higher learning capability across UK academia. In West Cumbria, the heart of the UK nuclear industry, the University operates the Robotics for Extreme Environments Laboratory (REEL) located at RAICo1 in Whitehaven.
REEL focuses on the development of robotic systems that can be operated in extreme environments, such as those found in the nuclear industry, power generation or agriculture. REEL is involved in a number of projects based in Cumbria, including:
RAICo
The National Nuclear User Facility - Hot Robotics
ACORN
The RAICo Project Administrator will provide high quality administrative support in the delivery of these projects and other Cumbrian based projects
Overall Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Operations & Project Integration Manager the Project Administrator role provides comprehensive and proactive operational support to the research projects.
The post-holder will ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and in accordance with UoM policies and procedures.
