We are working with a leading law firm to hire a Compliance Manager in Belfast. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the client and matter onboarding process while overseeing a team of Risk & Compliance Analysts. You’ll act as a key advisor on regulatory issues and contribute to the development and implementation of firmwide risk policies.
The firm is seeking someone with significant experience in risk and compliance within a legal environment, ideally with at least five years of relevant expertise. A strong understanding of UK money laundering regulations and the SRA Codes of Conduct is essential.
The responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing the client and matter onboarding process
* Line management of Risk & Compliance Analysts
* Handling first-line conflict checks, sanctions screening, and PEP assessments
* Advising on CDD/EDD matters and other regulatory queries
* Delivering training on onboarding and regulatory compliance
* Reviewing and analysing conflicts of interest
* Supporting the implementation of risk controls and information barriers
* Responding to client compliance questionnaires and data requests
