The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the organisation. Duties
* Assist in supervising staff and managing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning / managing doctors rotas.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
* Oversee some financial management tasks.
* Support human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
* Maintain a high standard of customer service while addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
* Provide veterinary expertise when necessary, ensuring animal welfare is prioritised.
* Dealing with formal patient complaints.
Skills
* Proven supervising experience in a managerial role.
* Strong management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and financial analysis.
* Knowledge of human resources practices and employee relations.
* Veterinary experience is highly desirable, contributing to informed decision-making regarding animal care.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
