Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist – Liverpool
Rate: £39.45 per hour
Location: Liverpool City Council
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid working available
Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of Liverpool City Council for an experienced Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care team on a locum basis.
This role focuses on supporting residents with disabilities to live independently through tailored assessments, equipment provision, and housing adaptations. Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete strength-based assessments under the Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation
2. Partner with individuals with disabilities and their carers, ensuring their voices are central to support planning
3. Recommend and arrange equipment and structural adaptations to promote independence and well-being
4. Work collaboratively with internal teams, community resources, and other professionals to deliver integrated support
5. Manage a varied caseload within Adult Social Care priorities and council policies
6. Engage in ongoing professional development in line with Allied Health Professional Council requirements
Requirements:
7. Qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC
8. Experience working within adult social care and housing adaptations
9. Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014
10. Excellent communication, assessment, and caseload management skills
