Equans is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Ilford, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and company benefits package.
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for all maintenance tasks on site. Tasks including decoration, carpentry, assistance to electrical and mechanical engineers, space planning/office moves, re-lamping, emergency lighting test, plantroom inspections. Your days will be vaired and challenging but vital to delivering a great service to our client.

What will you deliver?
1. To assist in delivering those aspects of the Company Performance Contract as they relate to the site
2. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of existing plant and equipment and diagnosing faults as required
3. Safely and efficiently maintaining & installing (or supervising the maintenance by third party contractors of) existing & new plant and equipment
4. To be familiar with and understand the site contingency plans for dealing with emergency situations
5. To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs)
6. To carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice
7. To ensure that the Contracts Manager is kept informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customers circumstances
8. To produce Site Specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments
9. To produce maintenance reports inclusive of any costed remedials
10. To produce quotations relating to the remedial works
11. Ensure PPE is up to date and safe
12. To carry out M&E maintenance tasks on the contract and ad hoc requests

Who are we looking for?
24. City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent
25. General Electrical Knowledge
26. Experience in a FM environment (desirable)
27. Experience of M&E Building services
28. Knowledge of the use of CAFM systems
29. Full & clean UK Driving Licence
This role includes an enhanced DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
