An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the fast‑paced team on a children’s inpatient ward (Northbrook). If this sounds like you or you are looking for a new challenge, we are interested in hearing from you.
Northbrook Ward on the Winchester site is an 18‑bedded unit that provides care for children who require admission as an emergency, from the Emergency Department (ED), Sophie’s Place (SP) or GP’s. Children may also be booked in for treatment with Oncology, Orthopaedic, General Surgical or Medical Problems.

At HHFT, we offer a full and comprehensive orientation package and professional support suited to your individual needs, alongside ongoing support from the Clinical Education Team, enabling you to achieve your full potential.
You will be expected to support and work alongside the nursing staff to ensure high‑quality care is delivered to the children and their families who access our service.
Responsibilities
* Support nursing staff in delivering patient care.
* Assist in the care of children admitted for emergency, oncology, orthopaedic, surgical or medical reasons.
* Participate in the ward’s QIS and Child learning opportunities to enhance professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Evidence of excellent communication skills and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
* Evidence of Childcare / nursery nurse training (essential).
