A Snapshot of Your Day
As an MRP Controller, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating detailed delivery plans for parts across the supply chain. Your work will directly support the master production plan and ensure customer and business commitments are met. You’ll work closely with Supply Chain Management, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to respond to demand changes, manage inventory levels, and resolve delivery risks using SAP and standard planning processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Create and maintain committed delivery plans in line with demand and the Sales & Operations Planning process.
Respond to changes in demand by assessing and communicating impacts to customer and business requirements.
Maintain accurate master and dynamic planning data to ensure effective demand cascade through the supply chain.
Plan and manage inventory levels to ensure stock is available at the right time and used in the correct order.
Ensure supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in SAP and manage schedule adherence using exception messages.
Act as the primary operational interface with suppliers, leading planning, control, delivery, and improvement activities.
Lead supplier business reviews, assessing performance across quality, cost, delivery, and capacity.
Manage delivery issues, shortages, and recovery plans, escalating risks where required.
Identify supplier load and capacity constraints that could impact delivery performance.
Use standard systems, processes, and reports to proactively manage delivery risks.
What You Bring
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain planning.
Working knowledge of production planning, materials control, and inventory management.
Understanding of quality systems, inventory control principles, and IT systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and resilient approach.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated behaviours aligned with teamwork and continuous improvement.
Ability to take ownership of personal development.
Good working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.
Experience in supply chain scheduling, load and capacity planning, and supplier relationship management.
