The Electrical Supervisor will report to the Field Operations Manager and be responsible for the electrical compliance and high-quality standards of work within the field operations in line with 18th Edition regulations. Working closely with the Project teams and the Health and Safety Advisor, you will anticipate workflow and align your schedule to meet the demand of future projects.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
7. Gain and retain accreditation as a Qualified Supervisor with the approved body (NICEIC)
8. Check and authorise all NICEIC certifications within the field
9. Ensure that all work is fully compliant with current regulations
10. Register/log all notifiable works with the NICEIC and/or building control
11. Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies
12. Ensure the competence of all electricians
13. Have full knowledge of each contracts electrical specification.
14. Carry out work in progress and post inspection audits of all site work
15. Monitor and maintain each contracts PAT testing
16. Monitor and maintain the calibration of in-house electrical test equipment
17. Liaise with the client on any future works outside of the normal contract specifications, and offer technical support where required
18. Ensure that relevant Task Specific Risk Assessments are available for tasks such as Work at Height, Electrical, Asbestos, COSHH and Manual Handling
The successful candidate will have/be:
19. High level of communication, demonstrating customer care and sensitivity
20. Working knowledge and compliance with health and safety requirements
21. Proven knowledge of installing data networks, including CAT5e, CAT6 and Fibre
22. Work as a team member and comply with set objectives
23. Must possess a relevant recognised electrical qualification as required by NICEIC for Electrical Qualified Supervisor, e.g. 18th Edition
24. A full, clean driving license is essential
25. Good inter-personal and communication skills, including well-developed written and presentation skills
26. Ability to work with current IT software, including MS Office, Word, and Excel
27. Management skills. leadership skills and experience in dealing with all levels of an organisation, including clients and contractors
28. Attention to detail, whilst working under pressure
29. Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with all stakeholders
30. Good time management and prioritising, ability to plan and prioritise high volumes
The hours of work are full-time, Monday Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, inclusive of a one-hour daily break. A degree of flexibility will be required, as national travel is required to fulfil this role.
