Overview
Our client is seeking an exceptional Deputy General Manager to support the leadership of a prestigious luxury hotel with a significant and high-performing Food & Beverage operation.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-driven leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering consistently outstanding guest experiences. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, refining processes, and elevating service standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the hotel, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage operations
* Lead from the front, maintaining a visible presence on the floor to ensure five-star service standards are consistently delivered
* Take ownership of reviewing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across departments
* Drive a culture of precision, consistency, and attention to detail in all areas of the business
* Oversee service delivery across restaurants, bars, and events, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences
* Monitor business performance, staffing levels, and operational efficiency to maximise profitability and guest satisfaction
* Work closely with department heads to ensure clear communication, accountability, and alignment on standards
* Identify opportunities to enhance the guest journey and continuously improve operational processes
* Support recruitment, training, and development of teams, with a focus on building strong leadership pipelines
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety, hygiene, and brand standards
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a senior operational role within a luxury hotel environment
* Strong background in Food & Beverage operations with a deep understanding of high-volume, high-quality service
* A natural leader who is comfortable leading from the front and engaging with teams and guests alike
* Highly detail-oriented with a passion for standards, structure, and process improvement
* Experience in reviewing and implementing SOPs and operational frameworks
