Your role with us
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Proactive Fraud Analyst to lead data-driven identification of fraudulent activity within the FCDO. Based in the FCDO’s Investigations Department and working alongside our Counter Fraud Policy Team, you will lead and develop innovative, proactive methodologies designed to identify fraudulent and wasteful activity within the FCDO. This includes identifying inefficiencies, poor value for money, or inappropriate spend, and analyzing data sources to drive fraud investigations. You will be the decision-maker for triaging identified issues.
Acting as a key contact, you will own relationships with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the FCDO, promoting a culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement. You will oversee staff in the proactive team and focus on improving the use and quality of data analysis to assist in fraud investigations across the FCDO network.
Who we’re looking for
With a relevant qualification in a related field or significant experience working in counter fraud, data analysis, or financial accountability, you should have a well-developed understanding of data sources, organization, and storage. You should be capable of researching, benchmarking, scoping, designing, implementing, and evaluating project delivery — delivering under pressure and to tight deadlines.
On a personal level, you should be resilient and organized, capable of managing multiple workstreams. A true team player and effective collaborator, you should be able to explain complex topics clearly, deliver difficult messages simply, and present data compellingly.
