We are seeking an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team at the Trust. Description:
* Oversee the occupational therapy department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and developing innovative therapeutic strategies.
* Responsible for the delivery of occupational therapy services across the designated service area.
* Provide specialist advice to occupational therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Manage complex requests for occupational therapy, triaging and prioritising these, completing evidence-based assessments and interventions.
* Use client-centred approaches to co-produce negotiated occupational goals and evaluate these with service users collaboratively.
* Participate in and provide clinical/professional and management supervision.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working.
* Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives.
* Utilize the Trust electronic patient record system.
* Abide by all Trust policies and procedures.
* Respond flexibly and creatively to challenges.
Skills:
* Substantial clinical experience in the service area.
* Experience of leading clinical governance activities including clinical audit.
* Extensive experience in clinical supervision of staff.
* Demonstrated effective clinical leadership.
* Ability to articulate the role of the Occupational Therapy Service to a wide and diverse range of people.
