GVC are providing recruitment support this well-established practice in South West London, who are actively seeking a Head RVN to lead their forward-thinking team of nurses.
They seek a dynamic, passionate, and seasoned nurse to lead their nursing team. This individual will oversee and inspire the team of nurses and student nurses. With a dedicated clinical coach in place, no additional training is required. The role entails a 40-hour average week, rotating between various shifts: 8am-2pm, 8am-6pm, 1pm–8pm, and 11am-6pm, with 1 in 5 weekends (8am-2pm Saturday, 9am-10am Sunday, and inpatient care), followed by a day off after the weekend. Duties include consults, pharmacy tasks, anaesthetic monitoring, performing stage 1 dentals, and imaging.
About Them: They operate as a bustling community general practice with strong connections to Wimbledon and Kingston upon Thames, offering easy transport links to London or the coast. The practice is equipped with multiparameter, digital X-ray, and dental X-ray machines, among other tools. They foster a culture of continuous professional development (CPD), encouraging staff to share knowledge in meetings and clinical clubs.
About the Team and Culture: The team comprises 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 9 Receptionists. They engage both staff and the community through events like the annual dog show, summer works BBQ, and Christmas party. Their social secretary organizes activities like escape rooms and games nights, welcoming suggestions for further engagement.
Applicant Requirements: They seek an experienced registered veterinary nurse capable of executing all clinical duties to a high standard, with strong leadership and teamwork skills, and a commitment to patient and client care.
