Electronics Engineer - Embedded DSP – Wiltshire £40-60K Benefits As an Electronics Engineer - Embedded DSP, you will be taking an established product range in remote, high-resolution sensor equipment, power supplies and communications equipment to the next generation. You will be familiar with OFDM and FEC techniques and have experience writing embedded microcontroller code for timing-critical applications. Experience with Matlab/Octave would be an advantage as would a working understanding of baseband analogue circuit design. Your responsibilities will include maintenance and development of the design, participation in code review, performing other programming tasks, providing troubleshooting assistance and technical support to other team members Experience required 2 years as an Electronics Engineer or similar role Digital Signal Processing experience (DSP) Experience working with OFDM technologies Knowledge of Forward Error Correction methods Expertise in signal processing theory, algorithms, and implementation techniques Expertise in embedded code for timing critical applications DSP implementation on small microcontrollers and FPGAsSkills & Qualifications BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and VHDL Proficiency in modelling packages such as Matlab or Octave Strong ability to write structured code and clear documentation Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills This role offers the opportunity to gain broad experience developing a bespoke product range including communications modules, motor controllers, sensors and power supplies for a much-admired international organisation.
