They want two solid hands: one experienced all-round technician and one mechanic who's confident on the heavier engine jobs. Real spanner work, not just plugging in and reading codes. I know who they are; I'll tell you on a confidential call.You'll be: servicing, repairs and the bigger mechanical jobs timing chains/belts (JLR especially), engine work, diagnostics, the lot.
Working to time without dropping quality.You'll need: proper hands-on experience and the confidence to take on a JLR distribution job and get it right first time. Tickets (NVQ Level 3 etc.) a bonus, but it's your ability on the ramp that matters here.The deal: £42K£48K full-time, or £17£20/hr if you'd rather go self-employed. MonFri 75 (one hour for lunch, 121), optional Saturday 712 if you want the extra.Good technician, quietly fed up where you are?
