We’re looking for someone who knows their way around heating systems, ventilation, boilers, plant rooms and mechanical installations — and who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in getting things right.What You’ll Be DoingThis role is all about keeping buildings safe,pliant and running smoothly. You’ll be: Carrying out inspections on heating, ventilation and mechanical systems Diagnosing faults and rmending repairs Supporting both reactive and planned maintenance jobs Putting together reports, estimates, and specifications (we’ll support you with templates and guidance) Supervising contractors and checking work meets the right standard Helping plan maintenance programmes and improvements Working with asset data, drawings and condition reports (training provided)You’ll get plenty of variety — one day you might be checking plant room equipment, the next inspecting pipework, the next supporting a small refurbishment project.Who This Role SuitsThis is an excellent opportunity for:

What You’ll Need
6. Around 3+ years’ experience in plumbing, heating, mechanical or building services work
7. Good understanding of boilers, radiators, water systems, pumps, ventilation and plant room kit
8. Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out or rmending repairs
9. Confidence inspecting systems and reporting findings
10. Ability to supervise contractors and ensure work is done safely and properly
11. Some knowledge of mechanical regulations (Gas Safe, CDM, H&S)
12. Ability to work at heights if needed (ladders, scaffolds, etc.)
13. Experience in carrying out inspections and reporting on all mechanical installations: gas, ventilation, air conditioning and other heating systems. Experienced in supervising contractors during any installation and carrying out site inspections for progress, appropriate technical content and quality of workmanship Previous experience of presenting findings, discussing with and advising budget holders, and their professional advisors, the results of any surveys or inspections, including defects and remedial works. Experience in Reactive Mechanical Maintenance: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in heating, ventilation, pumps, plumbing fixtures, valves, and general building mechanical systems. Experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM):pleting scheduled servicing and equipment checks (, pipework inspection, HVAC filters, pump lubrication).
Qualifications
14. C&G/ HNC/HND or a degree in a related building/engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
