Job Description:
As the Health, Safety and Environmental Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining health, safety, and sustainability standards across multiple production sites. You'll champion a culture of accountability, implement proactive risk mitigation strategies, and drive environmental responsibility in line with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workplace Safety: Champion a culture of safety excellence throughout the organisation's NI operations. Lead initiatives that promote proactive safety behaviours and practices. Deliver safety education programmes and hands-on training. Monitor and enforce health and safety compliance, review protocols, and report non-conformance. Investigate safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
2. Environmental Stewardship: Spearhead environmental responsibility programmes aligned with legislation and sustainability goals. Maintain legal compliance across environmental activities. Collaborate with stakeholders to promote eco-conscious production and waste management. Manage emissions tracking and lead greenhouse gas reporting and analysis. Embed environmental awareness into operational planning.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a health, safety, or environmental leadership role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
* Passion for continuous improvement and fostering a safety-first culture.
