Offer description

Write a short description of your company, a boilerplate of the business, service or product that you offer. Include your business idea and the target audience. This text is primarily supposed to be descriptive, not selling.

We are working with a forward-thinking independent school in Brent recruiting for an expert Physics Teacher. This school is known for its "future-ready" curriculum, which successfully integrates high-level technology and engineering principles into the traditional Physics syllabus.

The School & Staff Culture This school prides itself on a culture of innovation and staff collaboration. As a member of the Physics team, you will be welcomed into a forward-thinking, collaborative office where the "applied" in Physics is taken literally through robotics and aeronautics projects. The leadership team understands the fast-paced nature of modern science and ensures you are fully integrated into our digital transformation strategy, providing iPads and advanced simulation software for all staff.

The Role & Responsibilities Supporting the STEM Lead, you will deliver the vital technical skills and theoretical knowledge that prepare students for the global digital economy.

* Theoretical & Practical Instruction: Teaching Physics from KS3 to A-Level, covering core topics like mechanics and electromagnetism, alongside modern modules in astrophysics and quantum mechanics.

* Engineering Enrichment: Leading the school’s popular Robotics club or coordinating the "Formula 1 in Schools" team to compete at a national level.

* Curriculum Design: Helping to refine schemes of work that bridge the gap between GCSE and university-level Physics, focusing on mathematical modeling.

* Staff Mentorship: Sharing best practices in digital learning and practical demonstration with colleagues across the Science faculty.

Requirements

* Degree: A degree in Physics, Astrophysics, or an Engineering discipline.

* QTS: Required.

* Right to Work: Full UK right to work is essential.

Salary & Contract Details

* Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent)

* Contract: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
