Job Role: Maintenance Manager
Location: Aldershot, High Wycombe, Larkhill, or West Byfleet (based at your nearest site)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role Mainstay Recruitment are recruiting a Maintenance Manager to lead the delivery of maintenance, repairs, and asset management across the South Region for our well know client. This role focuses primarily on Type 1 homes, while also supporting other Armed Forces accommodation as needed.
You will be responsible for overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. A key part of this role involves analysing performance data, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring clear, consistent communication with stakeholders—including senior military personnel.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead maintenance services across multiple sites
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure quality delivery
• Oversee repairs and maintenance in line with compliance and safety standards
• Analyse KPIs and implement service improvements
• Develop efficient project management practices
• Foster strong working relationships with teams and clients
What You’ll Need
• Strong technical background in maintenance and repairs
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and British Standards
• Professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, RICS) or working towards one
• Experience in service delivery or facilities/project management
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification preferred
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Flexibility to travel across the South Region
• Defence sector experience is desirable but not essential
Security Clearance Successful applicants will be required to pass SC Clearance as part of the employment process.
