A fabulous new opportunity has arisen for a Merchandising Lead for my client a design led sourcing and manufacturing company supplying several large retailers and online businesses Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a dynamic experienced Head of Merchandising to lead their team, The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in a leadership role have online experience and an excellent understanding of critical path management and implementing production capacity with overseas factories a supplier background an or retail merchandising within online will be considered for this role. Based in Central London offices
Main responsibilities will include :
Develop and deliver a comprehensive merchandising strategy to meet and exceed company and customer's expectations.
Implement and continually monitor production capacity management system to ensure factories work flow is consistent to manage production efficiency,
Monitor and actively manage the purchase order critical path with the clients to ensure orders flow smoothly.
Work with sales and design team to ensure early sight of orders and oversee critical path.
Work collaboratively with the supply chain logistics team and suppliers to ensure inbound compliance and on-time deliveries.
Continuously analyse sales data to maximise existing opportunities and to improve re buy potential opportunities.
Recruit, train and manage a small team.
Person Specification
Proven track record of success in either/or a retail business or a supplier business model.
Must have some experience working with an online business in a similar role
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
A team player approach to all aspects of the role
Excellent communication, strategy, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with a restless and results driven mindset.
Agility and an ability to adapt to ever changing consumer and client expectations and priorities.
A passion for the fashion industry and a strong belief and knowledge of the importance of product sustainability and sustainable practices.
