Role purpose
In this new and exciting role you will use your extensive experience, in similar roles, to manage the Bank’s increasing loan portfolio of bespoke property-backed loans including Buy to Let, Investment Loans/Commercial Mortgages and Bridging facilities.
As a senior member of the Portfolio Management team, you will report directly to the Head of Portfolio Management with typical duties including (but not limited to) the following:
* Ensure all loans are fully performing and achieve a satisfactory redemption by tracking loan performance and raising early warning signs or opportunities within the loan portfolio.
* Assist with redemption strategies, reporting of key performance metrics and commercial decisioning within the role.
* Continuous monitoring of loan performance & interest collection (arrears), ensuring loans are compliant with their contractual agreements, preparing reports for senior management, undertaking audits of data quality and being a point of contact for Customers throughout the life of a loan.
* Assist the risk and front-line relationship teams throughout the Collections process to ensure customers supported appropriately and Business Support Policy is followed.
* Using your experience to manage Watch and Recovery customer relationships whilst demonstrating a range of recovery and restructuring techniques across the portfolio to reduce risks and realign portfolios to risk appetite.
* Working collaboratively and constructively with others in risk and front-line relationship teams to ensure mutual satisfaction and continued growth whilst able to demonstrate independence.
* Continual implementation, maintaining and improving relevant systems & Policies.
Skills and experience:
The ideal individual for this role will have extensive experience of loan servicing or management within the commercial real estate sector. You will be able to demonstrate success in a role whereby you have managed live loans post funding and worked to support the ongoing performance and delivery of redemptions. Experience of the oversight of junior staff members would be advantageous though not essential. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the following:
* Property loan servicing and management.
* Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail and comfortable communicating with Customers on all loan-related matters including those in distressed circumstances.
* Understanding credit risk, collections and workout activities across financial services and specialist property banking.
* Working in a team with the ability to influence outcomes.
* Good awareness of regulatory frameworks including Conduct and Compliance requirements.
* Proven analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of risk control systems, processes and reporting.
* Evidence of the ability to communicate effectively and support both risk and front-line relationship teams.
* Evidence of balanced and independent judgement with a proven ability to drive change.
* Strong financial acumen and expertise in project finance, risk management, and financial modelling, Loan & Debt servicing.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects.

What else do I need to know?
Location: You will predominately work from home but will be required, infrequently, to travel to our offices when your role requires this.
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience
Hours: 35 hrs per week
