A little about what you will be doing: To assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are maintained to Fairmont St Andrews standards. Working together with the Head Chef to supervise and coordinate the kitchen service with other departments To ensure all health and safety, and food hygiene procedures and guidelines are followed rigidly and documented as necessary. To coordinate, execute and fully document training of kitchen staff while motivating at all times. To develop menus, keep costs and wastage down and maintaining food costs within various menu pricing. To assist the other sections in preparing and cooking food according to business requirements. To cook any food on a daily basis according to business requirements. To assist the Head Chef in interviewing and recruiting staff for the kitchen.
