This exciting UK Payroll Manager vacancy is based in modern offices at my Client's HQ in Reading.

This is a permanent, hands-on role managing 2 Payroll Assistants in a growing, firmly established business. It comes with flexible, hybrid working, parking, tech package and a whole host of other benefits.

You will be working within a busy, friendly Finance Function and be responsible for processing the company's Group payroll for 800 employees in accordance with current statutory requirements and within required timescales. The successful candidate will also perform all other required payroll related duties with support from the Payroll Assistants.

There is also scope to influence and be a key part of varied accountancy Framework projects and process improvements as the Payroll lead.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Processing the company's payroll for 800+ employees accurately and within required timescales
2. Ensuring compliance with current statutory requirements and regulations
3. Managing and processing all aspects of the payroll including, but not limited to, salaries, wages, benefits, and statutory deductions
4. Ensuring accuracy and completeness of payroll data, ensuring it is maintained and updated as necessary
5. Liaising with HR to ensure accuracy of employee data, including new starters, leavers, and changes to employee details
6. Managing and reconciling all payroll-related accounts and ensuring that all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner
7. Generating payroll-related reports for management as required
8. Staying up to date with payroll-related legislation and making any necessary changes to payroll processes to ensure compliance

Requirements:

9. Proven experience as a payroll manager, ideally managing 6+ payrolls at group level
10. Technical systems experience in using ADP
11. Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations
12. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
13. Experience using payroll software and systems
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
15. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
16. CIPP qualification preferred, but not essential
