We are looking to recruit for a Ventilation Work Assistant to join our Building Services team in Derby.
Working as a Ventilation Work Assistant you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance/servicing, glass trap cleaning with mechanical repairs with the lead Vent on the ventilation plant at the Royal Derby Hospitals site to a high standard. Working as part of a ventilation maintenance team.
What you’ll do:
1. To assist the ventilation work coordinator delivering the ventilation PPM work as part to the M&E team within the user department priority.
2. To be aware of Health and Safety policies and statutory requirements and to provide advice as appropriate
3. To ensure good communications exist between the ventilation maintenance team and other members of the M&E discipline.
4. To help and assist the ventilation work coordinator, M&E Supervisor and Team Leader with any enquiries or problems that may occur in relation to the ventilation PPM programme.
5. To advise the ventilation work coordinator on the effectiveness of the ventilation PPM program - additions, deletions or alterations and assist in the completion of relevant documentation.
6. In absence of the ventilation work coordinator to assist with general M&E maintenance tasks as directed by the M&E Supervisor.
7. To promote co-operation and versatility among his/her operational area/scope of works.
8. To work a day shift pattern to ensure continuity is maintained with in the delivery of the ventilation PPM program.
What you'll bring to the role:
9. Knowledge of ventilation plant acquired through experience and training courses in the specialised areas – ventilation & L8 etc.
10. Proven experience working within a building services environment.
11. Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
12. Basic computer skills are required.
13. A Human Focus card is required.
