Survey Manager
Location: Essex (Regional role - Anglia)
Hours: 40 hours per week (08:00 17:00)
The Opportunity
TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a leading UK engineering surveying consultancy, part of a wider infrastructure group, to recruit an experienced Survey Manager to operate out of their Essex HQ.
Our client is one of the UKs largest engineering surveying business, delivering land, measured building, underground utility (PAS 128), monitoring, and site engineering surveys across a national office network of 12 office locations. Their teams support major construction and infrastructure projects, providing the engineering certainty needed to deliver complex schemes safely and efficiently.
As Survey Manager, you will lead a regional profit centre, working closely with clients to deliver high-quality survey solutions. This senior role combines commercial accountability, operational oversight, client engagement, and team leadership, with a clear remit to grow the service line and strengthen regional performance.

Key responsibilities
Lead regional survey operations, ensuring technical excellence, programme certainty, and client satisfaction.
Manage regional P&L, driving revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
Develop and deliver a regional growth strategy, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
Lead tendering and proposal activity alongside commercial and technical teams.
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary survey team.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate
Proven experience in a survey management role, with a background in utilities surveying and strong PAS 128 knowledge .
Previous experience as a surveyor delivering complex projects to high standards.
Strong commercial awareness, including P&L management and cost control.
Proficient with modern surveying equipment and associated software.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and present to senior leadership.
Qualifications & requirements
Relevant Surveying degree (or equivalent experience).
CICES membership (or working towards).
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
Flexibility to travel regionally and work outside standard hours when required
