RETAIL STORE MANAGER – 30-35 HOURS PER WEEK
Established in 2012, Grape Tree currently has 174 stores in the UK.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident, and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager to represent our company in our BRAND NEW SIDMOUTH STORE. You will report to the Retail Operations Manager. Your typical duties will include:
Role
You will provide fast, efficient, pleasant, and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager at Grape Tree, you need to ensure that the store is well-stocked, clean, and tidy, leaving customers with a positive lasting impression to encourage repeat visits.
Responsibilities
1. Strong understanding of stock control, including ordering goods, managing deliveries, and banking monies.
2. You must be a hands-on manager.
3. Operate the till in accordance with company instructions.
4. Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
5. Ensure shelves are well filled, stocked, and faced at all times.
6. Ensure correct pricing of products, stock rotation, and removal of any goods exceeding the "use by" date. Report any "Best before" issues to management.
7. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout the store.
8. Observe company rules at all times and report any breaches.
9. Ensure staff cooperation for the smooth running of the store.
Essential Skills / Experience
1. Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
2. Good cash handling skills.
3. Excellent staff supervision and organizational skills.
4. Organized and practically minded, with a willingness to get involved.
5. Experience in retail management, food retail, supermarkets, customer service, or convenience stores is desirable.
The store operates Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate must be flexible to work within these hours.
