Occupational Therapist – Western Collegiate Club Hockey Association
Working full or part time as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will shape patient journeys and drive service innovation in a dynamic, forward‑thinking team. You will work with patients across diverse surgical and medical pathways, from trauma to oncology and general surgery.
Key Opportunities

Responsibilities
* Perform autonomous specialist occupational therapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations.
* Use clinical reasoning to provide diagnosis and develop, deliver, and adapt individualised treatment programmes.
* Monitor and evaluate treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of interventions and service delivery.
* Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work and for supervising physiotherapists and assistants.
* Provide clinical cover during staff absence with guidance and support of a senior member of staff if required.
* Participate in 7‑day working, evening, weekend, or emergency/on‑call duty rotas.
* Identify and carry out home visits in accordance with Trust and Professional standards.
* Assess patient condition and suitability for discharge and supervise physiotherapists and assistants in these tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
* Broad Band 5 NHS rotational experience.
* Strong organisational skills, time management, and resilience under pressure.
Additional Information
Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary over the first three months of employment. A small annual fee of £16 applies for the DBS Update Service.
