About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state of the art private eye clinic based in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team on a permanent basis. The clinic is high performing and expanding and within his role you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of surgical procedures is specialist fields within Ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills assisting patients undergoing procedures including cataract surgery in a fast pace environment.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for:
1. Ability to work in fast pace high volume clinical setting
2. Prepare patients for surgery
3. Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
4. Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation
5. Review patient charts and confirm data
6. Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
7. Follow surgeons’ direction and pass medical equipment
8. Monitor patients condition during surgery
9. Medicine Management and Audits
Who we’re looking for
10. Be NMC / HCPC registered – your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
11. Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
12. At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
13. Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology experience highly desirable
14. Interest in development and progression- this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
