Overview
I am a lady in my 50's and a full-time wheelchair user living in Neath with two small dogs. I’m ideally looking for a PA to work 9pm to 9am but there is flexibility for one night and other hours to be worked during the day. Driving license not essential. Experience in care is preferred but training can be provided for an inexperienced PA. I enjoy music, Eastenders and chatting, but also like quiet time alone.
Purpose
I require assistance with personal care and I have ceiling hoists. During the night I use a Bipap and, when unwell, a cough assist machine is used for treatment.

Candidate Type / Qualifications
* Someone comfortable working in a family home
* Someone respectful who will help me to be independent
* Someone supportive and with a proactive, mature attitude to housework
* Someone sensitive and open-minded who recognises that some disabilities are hidden
* Someone discrete who will respect my confidentiality
* Female preferred due to personal care tasks
* Someone who will make suggestions rather than tell me what to do
* Trustworthy, reliable and punctual
* Caring, patient and understanding
* Friendly and chatty; respects my privacy and dignity
* Capable of undertaking personal care tasks in a discrete and confident manner
Hours
36 hours per week – 9PM to 9AM, 3 nights a week.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children, then it is compulsory to have a DBS check prior to commencement.
If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive annual leave entitlement and all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistant Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
