About Our Client
Our client is a well-established Distribution company are currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join them on-site on a full time basis. They are known for their innovative and high-quality products, and pride themselves on their impressive service.This role requires a site-based presence.
Job Description
Reporting to the (part time) CFO and Managing Director, the Financial Controller duties include;
3. Working with a small accounts team to ensure provision of accurate and timely financial information.
4. Assigning ad-hoc tasks to the wider team.
5. Raising issues and weekly catch-up with the CFO.
6. Review of monthly management accounts and preparation of commentary
7. Presentation of management accounts and other financial information at weekly Finance Meetings.
8. Review and presentation of weekly reports (invoicing / cashflows / forecasts / aged stock).
9. VAT, customs duties and corporation tax compliance.
10. Preparation of annual accounts and consolidation.
11. Leading the annual audit.
12. Overall responsibility for annual budget.
13. Enhancing cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
14. May be invited to attend Board Meetings on specific matters of a financial nature.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Controller should have:
15. A formal qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
16. Experience of working on Sage X3 or other similar ERP systems (SAP / Business Central / Micrososoft Dynamics).
17. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
18. Strong Excel skills
19. A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
20. Relevant experience gained within a similar SME
21. Demonstrable experience of effective working relationships inside and outside the business
22. Line management experience, including personal development reviews
23. MUST DRIVE to get to the location
