Renewables Advisory Capability Lead (UK wide)

Overview
Within Jacobs Energy Advisory, we advise clients on the challenges and opportunities regarding decarbonisation and the global energy transition, including decentralised generation, renewables, and energy management and storage. The role leads our Renewables Advisory capability to deliver continued growth in services and value to clients, providing leadership within project teams and supporting the development of the team.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy advisory projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. Be accountable for key project delivery tasks and outputs through the project reviewer/verifier role. Provide technical guidance on renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, hydro, energy storage).
* Collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels (directors, internal networks, clients, regulators, partners).
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the growth of the Renewable Advisory capability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on energy (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent).
* Strong experience in the energy field (consultancy / industrial / commercial / utilities).
* Experienced project management skills, including ability to develop clear work programmes and communicate requirements to team members.
* Knowledge of current and anticipated environmental, carbon and energy policy and legislation and how this applies to organisations and projects.
* Understanding of the design, installation, and operation of renewable energy systems and the regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy sector.
