About the role
Are you seeking a rewarding career in Children's Services? Be part of designing social work for the future.
Join our exceptional Family Help Team in children's services, where we take pride in leading nationally and pioneering initiatives recognized by the government. Our dedicated team has set new standards in child and family well-being.
At Dorset Council, you won't just be an employee—you'll contribute to positive change. Join a community that values your skills, passion, and the difference you can make. Help us create a brighter future for children, young people, and families. Your journey towards meaningful work starts here.
In July 2024, the Department for Education announced the Families First for Children Pathfinder. Dorset is one of three initial sites nationally testing key reforms, supported by central government funding.
Our focus is on supporting families to meet their children's needs and keeping children at home when safe. You'll face exciting challenges working with children, families, and partners in an inspiring environment.
We have developed multi-agency locality teams, bringing together colleagues from Early Help, Children's Social Care, Educational Psychology, SEND, and Inclusion services, led by Heads of Locality and Strategy.
