Job Description:
We are seeking a thoughtful and engaging Religious Education Teacher for a nurturing Independent Mixed school in Brent. The successful candidate will guide students in Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore diverse religious and ethical perspectives, fostering critical thinking and respect.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE Religious Studies examinations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding.
* Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that encourages respectful dialogue and critical analysis of beliefs.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing insightful feedback to support their understanding.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a Religious Education or Theology specialism.
* Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
* A strong academic background in religious studies and a passion for the subject.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading sensitive and engaging discussions.
* Inner London Payscale.
* Supportive and collaborative Humanities department within an Independent school.
