Main duties of the job
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Craftsperson to work within a large organization. Although this role is multi-faceted, we are specifically looking for experienced individuals with a background in Mechanical engineering maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Understand, receive, and give complex technical instructions to other Maintenance workers.
* Provide advice and instruction to other maintenance workers.
* Out of “normal working hours” (approximate percentage of total attendance time), the post holder will be responsible for accepting maintenance requests from all areas of the site. Requests can be routine or emergency. The post holder will interpret situations and adjust work response priorities accordingly. They will also determine when to escalate issues to senior staff or contact the on-call Estates Officer for guidance or critical information.
* Have experience in fault finding on complex building services, plant, and equipment, and be able to work independently.
